Double Luck is a comic story drawn by Beatriz Bolster based on a preexisting script by Carl Fallberg. It features Donald Duck, Gladstone Gander and Huey, Dewey and Louie Duck.

Plot[]

Donald Duck is once again annoyed by Gladstone Gander's underserved, neverending luck. Hoping to get the better of him for once, Donald sabotages Gladstone's attempt at winning a "How many beans are there in this jar?" contest. Can Donald's cheating machinations finally defeat Gladstone's luck?

Behind the scenes[]

Created in 1977, this story was first printed in 1978 in the Danish Anders And & Co. #1978-38. It has never been printed in English anywhere.

The story is a remake of the 1953 story Bean There, Done That, drawn by Jack Bradbury. Double Luck sticks fairly close to the plot of Bean There, Done That but skips the opening sequence, cutting straight to Donald and Gladstone contemplating the jar of beans. There are various differences in the dialogue as well.
